    The Lean Leader course is designed to equip you with the advanced skills and knowledge needed to lead transformative change within your organization.

    As a Lean Leader, you will collaborate closely with local line management to identify opportunities for improvement and drive significant enhancements in efficiency and effectiveness. The course focuses on practical applications of Lean methodologies, including the use of takt times and cycle times for precise resource planning. You'll also develop the expertise to lead impactful improvement initiatives and quantify the benefits achieved.

    Additionally, the course prepares you to coach Lean practitioners and conduct comprehensive training sessions on Lean techniques, empowering your team to achieve continuous improvement.

    Choose between hands-on in-person workshops or a flexible virtual blend with self-paced learning and instructor-led labs. Both formats provide a consistent experience through simulations, tailored to fit your needs, and equip you with Lean skills to drive transformation and enhance efficiency in your organization.

  • VIRTUAL INSTRUCTOR-LED LABS

    Join our dynamic virtual instructor-led workshop, designed to deliver the same experiential learning through an innovative online format.

    Over the course of three weeks, participants will engage in TWO labs, each conducted over FIVE consecutive 4-hour days, totaling TEN 4-hour sessions.

    Using Miro as our collaboration tool, we create an interactive virtual lab experience where participants can appreciate concepts and practice tools in real-time simulations and group activities.

    This flexible format allows for deep learning and application of Lean principles, accommodating diverse schedules while maintaining high engagement and interactivity.

  • IN PERSON WORKSHOP

    Our in-person workshop offers an immersive, experiential learning environment over 4.5 engaging days. Participants will dive deep into Lean concepts and tools, gaining hands-on experience through interactive group activities and simulations.

    This format fosters collaboration and practical application, ensuring that attendees leave with a comprehensive understanding of how to effectively implement Lean practices in their own environments.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Upon completing this course, you will be able to:

  • Identify Improvements at the value stream level, ensuring a tangible impact on organizational performance
  • Measure value stream capacity and requirements for effective resource management and planning
  • Lead complex improvement activities that require coordinated transformational change across multiple work cells
  • Coach Kaizen Leaders on improvement and facilitation competencies techniques

EARNING CEU CREDITS

To earn CEU credits and the completion certificate for the course, participants must meet the following criteria:

  • Achieve Required Score: Participants must complete all presentations and pass the assessment with a minimum score of 80%.
  • Full Attendance: Participants must attend all scheduled sessions without exception.
  • Demonstrate learnings by application: Complete and submit evidence of a successful SCORE (Kaizen) event with an emphasis on multi-cell coordination and/or tangible impact to value stream performance

By fulfilling these requirements, participants will be awarded:

  • 4.0 CEU and 8.5 PDU credits for the course.
  • The official completion certificate.

AGENDA

  • Learn to design, introduce, and optimize work cells by identifying key performance enablers and eliminating process gaps.
  • Gain hands-on experience using time observations and bar charts to balance workloads and standardize operations.
  • Analyze process combinations and resource management strategies to maximize throughput and efficiency.
  • Learn to identify waste, visualize poor quality, and map the entire value stream for end-to-end improvement.
  • Apply Lean principles at the value stream level to ensure assets and personnel are deployed for maximum impact.
  • Cultivate the leadership principles required to guide teams through complex transformations and cultural shifts.
  • Engage in self-reflection and professional development techniques to effectively mentor and develop others within a Lean framework.

CERTIFICATE / COMPLETION REQUIREMENTS

To earn your Lean Leader certification, you need to fulfill the following criteria:

  1. Course Completion: Finish the course to earn your certificate, complete with accredited Continuing Education Units (CEU) credits.
  2. Assessment Proficiency: Secure a minimum score of 80% on all quizzes and exams.
  3. Active Participation: Engage fully in scheduled workshops, gaining practical insights and experience.
  4. Comprehensive Engagement: Participate thoroughly in all course modules to ensure a deep understanding of the learning objectives.
  5. Demonstrate learnings by application: Complete and submit evidence of a successful SCORE (Kaizen) event with an emphasis on multi-cell coordination and/or tangible impact to value stream performance

These requirements are designed to ensure you gain the maximum benefit from the course and are well-equipped with the Lean skills needed to drive meaningful change in your organization.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Lean Methods reserves the right to cancel or reschedule courses or change instructors. We will try to notify you at least six weeks prior to the course start date. Please note that we are not responsible for any travel-related expenses, if any, due to course adjustments.

Participant Cancellations

All cancellations are eligible for a transfer to another course or credit for future use, regardless of timing.

No-Show Policy

The full course fee is non-transferable or credited without prior notice.
